Yarden Buskila (Jordi)

Born in Kibbutz Kfar Masaryk, Yarden (“Jordi”) was the son of Shimon and Meirav and the brother of Liad and Sapir. A playful, curly-haired child, he grew up in the embrace of the kibbutz community and was educated at the Gvanim school and Ofek high school. Afterward, Jordi enlisted in the IDF and served in Unit 8200, including a year of permanent service. When he completed his military service, he entered the high-tech world—first at Neura, and later as a product manager at Spot. He dreamed of entrepreneurship, of creating and building something meaningful. Jordi was always thinking about how he could make the world a better place. Yarden loved this country deeply—its landscapes, its trails, its people. He loved traveling both across Israel and abroad. He was talented and creative, always smiling, always ready to help anyone who needed him. His hobbies included kite surfing, diving, carpentry, and growing hydroponic crops. Yarden was a true people-person. He loved spending time with family and friends and embraced every moment of life. Our Jordi was murdered at the Nova Festival in Re’im during the terrible tragedy that struck Israel on October 7th. He was 25 years old. He left behind an enormous void, but we—his family—will always strive to hold our heads high, act in Yarden’s spirit, fulfill his dreams, and make sure the world knows who our Jordi was.

"Jordi" Foundation

The foundation is committed to commemorating Yarden’s memory, and its first project is the creation of a memorial park for families and children—a place where we will celebrate the many things Jordi loved. To build the park, we launched a crowdfunding campaign, and thousands of people took part and volunteered. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for their generosity and support. Going forward, the association will continue to honor Yarden’s legacy through additional initiatives for the benefit of society. The park—our flagship project, developed over the past year—is a place of life, growth, and renewal. It incorporates motifs from Jordi’s world and includes activity areas and facilities for the next generation: spaces where children can grow vegetables, relax in hammocks with their families, enjoy picnics, and play. These elements reflect the things Yarden cherished most in his life. The park is intended to be a welcoming place for gathering, recreation, and community activity for kibbutz members, families, and visitors.
